Peoria Christian Chargers Varsity and Marquette played a tight game, but Marquette pulled out the 13-5 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Marquette batting in the bottom of the fifth when there was an error, scoring one run. PCS captured the lead in the first inning. Justin Post doubled on a 0-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run. The chargers scored three runs in the third inning on a single by Brad Timm. Donahue earned the win for Marquette. He tossed three innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out five, and walking one. Josh Hoffman took the loss for PCS. He went four and a third innings, allowing six runs, four hits, and striking out three. Foster started the game for Marquette. He pitched four innings, giving up four runs, three hits, and striking out five. Brad Timm went 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in.
