Middle Spiritual Life

Peoria Christian Middle School

Spiritual Life

God’s Word is Truth.  Therefore it is the foundation for everything we do at the middle school.  Every subject is taught through the lens of scripture.  This is because God is the author and creator of language, math, science, history, art, etc.  Our desire is to assist students in developing a God-centered worldview to equip them for life.

Spiritual development is applied in a variety of ways:

  • Use of scripture in every subject area
  • Weekly chapels: Wednesdays from 1:09-1:52 p.m.
  • Life Change Week (January)
  • ACTS Ministry: Advancing Christ Through Service – monthly service projects taking our students out into the community
  • 8th Grade Spring Mission’s Trip
  • Student led weekly prayer groups – Satellite Prayer – Fridays at 8:00 a.m. (room 301)
  • Discipleship – teacher and student (small group or one on one formats)
  • Commitment to scripture memory
  • Parent prayer groups – there are several groups that meet weekly and monthly
  • See You At The Pole
  • Dedicated to Biblical integration in every curricular area
  • Teachers are committed to praying for their students and parents

The Middle School theme for this year is “Follow The Leader,” Matthew 4:19.  We hope to use lessons from the life of Christ to help our students understand what it means to be a true follower of Christ.

"Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men."
