Each year, there is a gap between the amount of tuition income and the actual operating expenses. This gap varies depending on our student enrollment, number of staff on our payroll, and the remainder of our yearly expenses. Normally, the gap is covered by gifts to our Annual Fund and a variety of fundraisers. The 2009-2010 Annual Fund goal is $300,000, and the Advancement Department is planning to raise another $181,000 through events like the annual auction, golf outing, Read-a-thon, and the scrip program. The projected gap this year between tuition and expenses is over $600 per student.
