~ Weston Taylor ('05), Peoria Christian’s 2005 valedictorian is also this year’s valedictorian at Bradley University. He majored in electrical engineering and has been hired by defense contractor Northrup Gruman.

~ Kevin Stirratt (‘85) published his second book, MANNA: The Call to Daily Dependence, in the spring of 2009.  It is available through Beacon Hill Press (nph.com).  Kevin lives with his wife (Diana) and two boys (Andrew and Daniel) in Fort Wayne, IN.  Kevin is Vice President of the Segue Foundation (www.seguefoundation.org) and Director of the Annual Fund for Indiana Wesleyan University (www.indwes.edu).

~ Joseph Hauter ('00) is graduating from LECOM (Lake Erie College of
   Osteopathic Medicine) as a DO and will begin his residency in emergency 
   medicine in Wheeling, West Virginia

 

~ Daniel Lovell ('00) is graduating from Southern Illinois University as a DMD
    and will be continuing his education in the field of orthodontics

 

~ Jonathan Roberts ('00) is graduating from Southern Illinois University as
   an MD and will begin residence in Peoria, Illinois

 

~ Cedarville University senior shortstop, Andrea Walker ('04), was named to the

   national Christian College Athletic Association all-Midwest Region team for the

   second year in a row.  She also earned scholar-athlete honors in the NCCAA,

   NAIA and American Mideast Conference.

 

~ Jason Strandquist('99) of Pennsylvania State University, University Park has
   been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student scholarship to Germany in History, the
   United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign
   Scholarship Board announced recently.

 

~ Zach Bahorik ('02) and Libby Smith were married in Indianapolis on October

   11, 2008.  They live in Indianapolis.

 

 Trace & Emily Salzer Emily (Salzer) and Trace Duncan were married on December 13th at Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria. Trace currently works for the US Army and is stationed at the Rock Island Arsenal.
 Grant & Sarah Zobrist Grant Zobrist (04) and Sarah Roth were married October 25, 2008. They reside in Morton. Grant works as an estimator at Zobrist Construction. They are expecting their first child in September of 2009.
 

Emily Ann McCullough ( 2002)and Thomas Lee Ackerman (2004)were married on June 26, 2009

 
   

Scott Lawson (2005), a senior at Trinity International University, was a first-team selection on the All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference team. He finished third in voting for conference player of the year. Lawson was second in the CCAC with a .453 batting average. He hit 11 home runs this season and 21 in his two-season career at TIU.
 

Katie Lee Hays (2002) and Joshua Paul Gurnsey, both of Chillicothe, will be married on August 8th. The future bride has a bachelor of science degree with a major in clinical laboratory science and a minor in biology from Illinois State University. She is a medical technologist in the system laboratory for OSF Medical Center. The future bridegroom is a graduate of IVC High School. He is a machine tool works inspector team leader for Rock Island Arsenal.
 

 

Dominic (2000) and Jessamy Matarelli are the proud parents of a baby boy born Saturday, August 8th at 10:37 a.m. Samuel Harrison Matarelli was 7 lbs. 8.6 ounces and 21 inches long.
   Sarah Potter (2006) and Daniel Gerdes (2006) got engaged in March of 2009. They are planning a July 9, 2010 wedding at Northwoods Community Church. Daniel has received an internship with Northwestern Mutual.
angie andy2 Angie Kaiser ('99) and Andy Ogburn ('97) got married February 28, 2009 and they are expecting their first baby on February 26, 2010.
weston engaged 9-5-09 Weston Taylor got engaged on 9/5/09 to Stephanie Dunn from Chillicothe. Both graduated 2009 from Bradley University.
