High Schoolers: I have so much to say to all of you but the first thing that stands out in my mind was that Mr. Peter was very harsh on me in high school. He demanded so much from me that at the time I didn't care much for him. But I began to appreciate him much later when I began maturing and understood more about life. He used to say, "you only live once, might as well make the most out of it."

At Purdue, God placed the right people in my path to put many puzzle pieces of my life together. During one of my chem classes, I was able to connect and create a relationship with one of the leading researchers in the field of lithium ion batteries, Professor S. T. Kim, who took an interest in me and challenged me much like Mr. Peter did in HS. With my life path and education, including a military tour in the middle east with a US troop as an interpreter, numerous internships, I'm now with LG Chem in southern part of Korea as a researcher. My colleagues are Ph D's from KAIST, MIT and Cal Tech. I'm blessed to be in the team. My challenge to you is to build yourself up with as many experiences as possible and the opportunities will surely come. I look forward to meeting with you all in the future.
