A word on Studying Abroad

Hey Mr. Peter,

School started this Monday and I finally finished registering for classes. I’m taking a major course for the first time this semester, so I can take more major classes next semester along with gen ed courses.

I found a distribution/logistics company in Moscow where I might be able to get an internship during the summer. Also I was interested in the study abroad programs here at Georgia Tech, and found out that it is relatively easier to apply and get in, once you meet some simple requirements. I decided after talking to many 선배들 and advisors that second semester of my second year would be the most ideal time for studying abroad and narrowed down the schools to National Univ of Singapore and Hong Kong U of science and technology (SNU would be my third choice but Georgia Tech doesn’t allow international students to study abroad in their native country). I know they are both great schools, and their engineering departments are both strong. I wanted to ask you if you know anything about those schools that I should have in mind before making my decision as I can only apply to one school per semester.

Hope you’re staying warm with your family and have a great weekend!

Thanks,

Alex
