The chargers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-1 loss to Marquette on Thursday. Marquette scored on a walk by Killelea in the first inning and a single by Fanti in the second inning. Noah Rodman walked Killelea with the bases loaded to drive in a run. Fanti earned the win for Marquette. He threw seven innings, allowing one run, six hits, striking out seven, and walking one. Rodman took the loss for Peoria PCS. He went five innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out four. Rodman, Josh Hoffman, Noah Bennington, Josh Heller, Joel Showalter, and Justin Post each collected one hit to lead the Varsity. PCS was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Post had the most chances in the field with seven.
