PCS Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Woodland

Peoria Christian Chargers Varsity defeated Streator/Woodland 5-1 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Peoria Christian Chargers Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Chandler Hillebrenner induced Noah Bennington to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Brad Timm led the Peoria Christian Chargers Varsity to victory on the pitcher's mound. He lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out 14 and walking zero.

Hillebrenner took the loss for Streator/Woodland. He lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out four and walking zero.
