Multiple National Blue Ribbon School Awards

Congratulations to Peoria Christian High School for receiving the 2018 National Blue Ribbon Award by the U.S. Department of Education as an exemplary high achieving school, chosen by placing in the top 15 percent of schools in the country in reading and math standardized tests with high composite ACT scores. The high school, led by Mrs. Lyons, has worked to obtain excellence in all things, while giving God the glory. Peoria Christian High School made history by becoming the first high school in Peoria County to be named a National Blue Ribbon School.

Only five high schools were chosen in Illinois, and Peoria Christian High School was the only private high school picked in Illinois for the award.

“What makes us distinctive is that we infuse Christ in everything we do,” Lyons said. “It is a privilege to have that role and that honor but at the end of the day we would want people to know that we are Peoria Christian High School, that we truly want to make sure that Christ is what we do here and we do real education here.”

Congratulations to Peoria Christian Elementary School for receiving the 2017 and 2009 National Blue Ribbon Award by the U.S. Department of Education as an exemplary high achieving school. Our faculty, led by Miss Wiele, has worked to engage our students in learning using a multitude of methods and materials. Ms. Wiele says our distinctive of teaching with a Christian worldview is the foundation we build on beginning in the elementary school as students enter PCS. We count it a privilege to support the Christian home and church to infuse Christ into every area of our school.

Peoria Christian Elementary was selected as one of the 50 private schools named this year based on the Terra Nova standardized reading and math scores. These scores are in the top 15 percent of the nation who took this assessment. We continue to evaluate what we teach our students to prepare them with a biblical foundation, think critically, and defend their faith. Thank you for entrusting us with this opportunity to support you as you seek to educate your children.

As a PreK-12th grade community, we can celebrate together as the Lord is honored as we seek to do our best for Him in all things. Thank you for continuing to pray for us as we equip our students to make a difference in the world through preparing them spiritually and academically.

Trusting Him,
Becky Gardner
Superintendent
