Peoria Christian Elementary School includes students in 4-yr-old Pre-Kindergarten up to 4th grade. Excellence in academics is top priority and all classes are taught with a biblical worldview.

Our Pre-Kindergarten classes use a play-based, welcoming program to nurture and engage students. Bible stories, weekly verses and prayer are central to our day. Children participate in music, Spanish, art and library to develop important social and emotional skills. They work on phonemic awareness, practice pre-writing skills and have fun with math and science.

Our Kindergarten students develop a strong number sense in math and grow leaps and bounds in reading. They conduct investigations in science and history and work on Six Traits Writing. Students work on Bible lessons and scripture memory work to encourage foundations in biblical truth. Spanish, art, library, computer, music, chapel and P.E. round out the week.

Students in Grades 1-4 learn twenty biblical truths that are integrated through each subject, helping students learn that all truth is God’s truth. Differentiated grouping in math and reading is done in each grade level to offer review and enhancement according to students’ needs. Teachers use multiple hands-on, engaging lessons and include STEM activities across the content areas. English, Spelling, Handwriting, Science, Health, and Social Studies/History/Geography are also taught along with a 1-to-1 iPad learning experience in 4th grade. Weekly chapels provide worship and encouragement.
