PCS Social Privacy Policy
Last updated: [10-15-26]
PCS Social is an internal tool that Peoria Christian School ("PCS", "we") uses to schedule and publish the school's own posts to the school's Facebook Page and Instagram account. Only PCS staff can use it. This policy explains what information PCS Social handles and how.
Who uses PCS Social
Only PCS staff members whom the school has approved can sign in, using their school Microsoft account. The public, parents and students don't use PCS Social and don't have accounts in it.
What information PCS Social keeps
- Staff sign-in: the staff member's school email address and Microsoft account ID, used to confirm that they're allowed in.
- School posts: the captions, first comments, photos and schedules that staff write, and a record of when each post was published and its Facebook or Instagram post ID. Photos are stripped of location and camera details before they're stored.
PCS Social does not collect information about people who view, like or comment on the school's Facebook or Instagram posts. It doesn't sell or share data for advertising, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookies it sets keep staff signed in.
How PCS Social uses Facebook and Instagram
PCS Social uses Meta's official API to publish posts and first comments to the school's own Facebook Page and Instagram account, and to check that its connection to them still works. It acts only on accounts the school owns.
Where the information is kept
PCS Social runs on service providers that process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and photo storage, in the United States), Microsoft (staff sign-in and staff notifications in Microsoft Teams) and Meta (publishing to Facebook and Instagram). Access is limited to approved PCS staff and the school's technology staff.
How long it's kept
School posts and their photos are kept as a record of what the school published until staff delete them. A staff member's sign-in access is removed when they no longer need it.
Data deletion
PCS Social doesn't store information about Facebook or Instagram users, so there is nothing about you in it to delete. If you'd like a school post removed, or have any question about your information, email socialmedia@peoriachristian.org and we'll respond within [30 days]. To remove your own comment on a school post, delete it on Facebook or Instagram, or ask us to.
Changes
If PCS Social starts handling new kinds of information, we'll update this page and its date first.
